Here are a number of suggestions for ways you could strengthen your connection with these positive people and their inspirational stories:
- Put cross-promotional tags on your print and other ads.
- Make nomination forms available in your place of business to encourage traffic.
- Select the "Vancouver Island Neighbourhood Hero of the Year" or perhaps several "heroes" in different categories and organize a fund raising dinner in support of your favorite charity to honour them. (We would suggest that we refer to these people as "representatives" rather than "winners")
- Send a letter of congratulations or a Neighbourhood Heroes certificate to all those who have been nominated.
- Send a framed certificate to all who are recognized in print or on air.
